Establishment of the Deanship

The decision of the Council of Universities Affairs No. (2/16/45) dated 14/2/1445 approved the comprehensive academic restructure of universities where the Deanship of Research and Graduate Studies structure at King Khalid University was approved. The Deanship coordinates tasks and targets directly tied to the university's strategic objectives, including enhancing teaching and learning outcomes to meet labor market and sustainable development demands and fostering research and innovation to address social and economic needs.

Following development plans and societal demands, the Deanship aims to provide an appealing research environment that will enhance graduate programs by achieving scientific creativity and enrichment. Its new structure will also serve to create an inspiring academic environment that will support the knowledge economy through the formation of productive partnerships with the community at large and internationally. The Deanship retains to carry out its objectives to serve researchers and graduate students to contribute to the work of the two previous deanships, namely the Deanship of Graduate Studies, which was formed with the beginning of the issuance of the Royal Decree No. 7/87 on 11/3/1419, and the Deanship of Scientific Research, which was established on 19/3/1420 by Resolution No. 15/8.
